People I missJennifer, your worship and your dancing.
Heather, Your Warmth, your intellect, your reading.
Lynsey, Hot chocolate and cakes around the table.

Sheba, your gentleness, your kindness, your friendship.
Christy, I do not miss your grief, but I do miss your insanity, you see the world through different eyes and that sets you apart.Amber, your laugh, your company, your accent, to walk and talk, Honesty, living.
I can see these moments and I know they're past separated by time, distance.
I miss laughing with you when I am sad. I miss the love and company of others.Have I made mistakes or are these circumstances perfect, holding me in place. I dont know how to find friends like you again.

who needs a sandpit
Wow, it was a lovely day and the girls just went and sat in the vegtable patch like it was a sandpit, Maisy ended up on her back at one point, (I think she was pushed), and midway through her cry to get my attention she noticed a plane in the sky and got all excited, its as if the summer was too far back to remember, and playing in the garden is all new.
snowdrops
we have alot of snowdrops peeping out. I like the way they dangle.

Pops will only wear skirts or dresses at the moment, and likes to get herself dressed in the morning, 7 skirts was a memorable outfit, the selection included ballet skirts and a red apron.
This morning she had on a hooded fleece back to front with the hood like a sort of bib, over a top which she had on upside down making for a rather tight waist band across her tummy and a very unusual neckline!
Mais has started going for proper walks outside, she managed to kick her welly boots off without us seeing and do a runner across a frosty patch of grass in her socks.
And so 2009 begins

Pops has decided she doesnt want "that man" coming into her room to put the presents in her stocking, Prehaps I shouldn't of corrected her a few weeks ago when she told me it was Snow White who filled your stocking.

Now this bad photo, (the battery on the camera went as I took it, and it didn't even focus.) illustrates the story I shall share with you.
I was getting Maisy up from her nap and had left Pops with Joel, now Joel was upstairs with me, and every thing was very quite downstairs, so Joel went on down to check Poppy wasn't up to anything. Well she passed Daddy's "inspection" but when I arrived a few minutes later I was a little suspicious of the hunched over figure with her back to us in the corner of the room, and so I went for a closer look, and found she had a whole cauliflower about the size of her head, she must have thought she'd hit the jackpot when she found that in the fridge. She had removed some of the leaves and was nibbling on the thing like a mouse, Joel tried to take it from her but she had sunk her teeth into it, I eventually got it back as she declared how delicious it was.
"Cheese! I can taste cheese Mummy. Is it goats cheese?"
"No," I say "Its a cheese called mascarpone."
a slight pause, before Poppy asks,
"Does that come from Ponies?"
It cracked me up, but I composed myself so I could congratulate her thought process, and explain why it was laughing, I don't think she got it though.
A few days earlier We had the following conversation while Poppy was eating her lunch,

While digging the veg, Poppy plays in the dirt, I found her inside with a worm and told her to go put him back, on the way I heard
"Oh no, what I done to the worm?"
"what is it Pops, Is he in 2 pieces?"
"yes"
Quick visual inspection, both halves still wiggling, and she quickly returned him.
later while I was weeding she obviously got bored and dumped a spade of dirt down my back.
Meantime Maisy is about to turn 1 next week, she doest say a word, Maybe its hard to compete with Her sister.
Ha, I grew stuff, and I was so pleased when I dug up my potatoes I thought to myself, I'll blog this. See the potatoes were an extra exciting surprise as I didn't buy seed potatoes, but I did have some organic potatoes that sprouted, so as an experiment I planted them. Now that wont work well if they are supermarket potaotes as they do wierd stuff to them, But these things grew into giants.
Today I lifted the onions aswell, you to do that when the leaves all bend over. some of them are a bit on the titchy side, as they had to compete with some very tall grass, (the mower won't reach).

Well, having been inspired by numerous blogs and flikr pads, I thought I'd start posting pics of the things I'm making.
Last Christmas Poppy had a toy kitchen and I got busy making food for her from felt, This isn't her food but some stuff I've made to sell. Little carrots, Strawberries, salad, and ravioli.

I am absolutely bloomin knackered at the moment, that kind of brain numbed hazyness that comes of no sleep and still having to function from 5.30 in the morning, Poppy has moved into a big girls bed, and for the first time suddenly decided she wants to sleep with her door open. Joel has been off sick with torn chest muscles, Life is not very stimulating unless you count being up every few hours through the night. Tried controlled crying for 10 days then 2 weeks and it doesnt work. Maisy is hard core it would appear, and the only one who is controlling there crying is me, but I'm making up for it with a spot of uncontrolled shouting!
However when they are not swing off my hair or bouncing off the walls the girls are beautiful and lovely. Poppy is at this moment pretenting to make a cake using mummys arm as a main ingredient.

Well, here is Maisy on day 2 of crawling, I filmed her on day 1, but to the untrained eye, it didnt look like she was actually crawling, you'd suddenly just realise she was nearer the camera.
Don't know why Poppy has her tongue sticking out.
In the back of the car the other day Poppy announced that she loved herself
"I love me, I love my face"
She then rather curiously said "never ever put my face in the fire"
don't know where that came from, but we do have an open fire, so at least the safety message has got through.
Maisy also now has 2 teeth, but hasn't as yet bit her sister in defence.
