While digging the veg, Poppy plays in the dirt, I found her inside with a worm and told her to go put him back, on the way I heard

"Oh no, what I done to the worm?"

"what is it Pops, Is he in 2 pieces?"

"yes"

Quick visual inspection, both halves still wiggling, and she quickly returned him.

later while I was weeding she obviously got bored and dumped a spade of dirt down my back.

Meantime Maisy is about to turn 1 next week, she doest say a word, Maybe its hard to compete with Her sister.

Ha, I grew stuff, and I was so pleased when I dug up my potatoes I thought to myself, I'll blog this. See the potatoes were an extra exciting surprise as I didn't buy seed potatoes, but I did have some organic potatoes that sprouted, so as an experiment I planted them. Now that wont work well if they are supermarket potaotes as they do wierd stuff to them, But these things grew into giants.

Today I lifted the onions aswell, you to do that when the leaves all bend over. some of them are a bit on the titchy side, as they had to compete with some very tall grass, (the mower won't reach).

Well, having been inspired by numerous blogs and flikr pads, I thought I'd start posting pics of the things I'm making.
Last Christmas Poppy had a toy kitchen and I got busy making food for her from felt, This isn't her food but some stuff I've made to sell. Little carrots, Strawberries, salad, and ravioli.

I am absolutely bloomin knackered at the moment, that kind of brain numbed hazyness that comes of no sleep and still having to function from 5.30 in the morning, Poppy has moved into a big girls bed, and for the first time suddenly decided she wants to sleep with her door open. Joel has been off sick with torn chest muscles, Life is not very stimulating unless you count being up every few hours through the night. Tried controlled crying for 10 days then 2 weeks and it doesnt work. Maisy is hard core it would appear, and the only one who is controlling there crying is me, but I'm making up for it with a spot of uncontrolled shouting!
However when they are not swing off my hair or bouncing off the walls the girls are beautiful and lovely. Poppy is at this moment pretenting to make a cake using mummys arm as a main ingredient.

Well, here is Maisy on day 2 of crawling, I filmed her on day 1, but to the untrained eye, it didnt look like she was actually crawling, you'd suddenly just realise she was nearer the camera.

Don't know why Poppy has her tongue sticking out.

In the back of the car the other day Poppy announced that she loved herself

"I love me, I love my face"

She then rather curiously said "never ever put my face in the fire"

don't know where that came from, but we do have an open fire, so at least the safety message has got through.

Maisy also now has 2 teeth, but hasn't as yet bit her sister in defence.

Finally I got someone to take a family picture of us (thank you Abi).

Friday, February 22, 2008

What beautiful eyes.

Poppy all ready for bed, in her pjs from Grammy Bette.
Well I have yet to get a beautiful family picture of us, so I took this myself, not really good of any of us, but at least we are all in it.

Poppy stoped biting, probably sensed Maisys first tooth is nearly through, she talks in sentences more and more, it still surprises us. " love you Daddy, so much."
I am holding myself together, just. two little children, sleep disturbed nights, potty training, weaning, being two, all very challenging. trying to hold back from doing some serious internet shoping to make myself feel better. I know it wouldnt work anyway.

A day out at longleat on the little train, Poppy was doing the usual "helloooo maisy" while maisy just wiggled probably thinking something along the lines of "don't bite me."

Pops has been feeling creative, colouring in a table with wax crayons, and a wall and a duvet cover with biro, yesterday was not a good day on my stress levels, but my 3 half months of disturbed sleep (8times a night sometimes) was blessed with only 2 wakes between 10pm and 8pm last night "Woo Hoo".

Maisy has just started to cry which is going to cut short this blog somewhat, anyway she lookslike this now when shes not howling or scowling. Poppy still likes a good wrestle with her and the odd bite!

Poppy Chicken

Well I have less than 3 weeks to go if baby number 2 is on time. I'm hoping she'll be early, but pops was 2 weeks late. My bump is huge, and although Poppy waves at the bubu, and blows raspberries on my tummy, I'm guessing she could still be a little surprised when the bubu arrives. I'm feeling alot more chilled out about the birth than I have been, which is just as well as they say fear makes it longer and more painful, due to you being tense i guess, and I'd rather short and painless, or as close as I can get to short and painless!

Saturday, June 30, 2007

This is me with my bump back in May, my tummy button, which Poppy decided to call a "nose," clearly visable, nice! and Poppy and Ioan ofcourse having a drink.

Joel has discovered my camera, and we are rapidly building a huge collection of views and other wallpaper foder for him to photoshop, which I guess give a subject other than Pops to file away and look at. Poppy is talking more and more (although she can't say "e" sounds, so Abi is Abum, Daddy is Daddum.) I am massive, 5 weeks to go if the baby (bubu, incidently not babum.) is on time!

The more I get to know her, the more she wins our hearts.
Just gotta get the rest of that chocolate cake frosting of the plate Mu-mu.

Long time since I posted last, well have been slightly distracted by Joel's current contact not being renewed, and therefore, tidying and putting house on the market, (no offers yet), tidying some more, driving down south for interviews, looking at houses, trying to find out where I will give birth, packing, tidying, resting and being tired, having low blood pressure, and low iron. Oh and looking after Poppy who is now rather nippy on two feet, and trying to talk, or just screech loudly. I am now 29 weeks pregnant, and very fat, fortunately all in one place, pretty much.

The chicken and I out for a walk, that would be one of the chickens happy faces, usually accompanied by a sort of dog sniffing noise.
She has just started walking, although yesterday when I put her down in the garden to do her first bit of Garden exploration, she decided crawling was the way to go, and after patting the grass, and picking up a few sticks, decided to try eating a lump of mud. yummy.
